Levi snowmobile safari prices, extras included
A seat on a guided snowmobile safari in Levi costs from ~$110 for a one-hour forest taster up to ~$233 for a five-hour day on a frozen lake with lunch. Most people land in the middle, on a 2–3 hour day ride. Below, six tours side by side, then the extras the headline price leaves out.
Six safaris side by side
The table lists the five tours on our home page plus one evening extra, each at its regular "from" price per adult. GetYourGuide often shows a lower sale figure, so read these numbers as a ceiling rather than the final bill.
| Tour | From | Length | Group | Included | Who drives |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wild Nordic (our pick) | ~$140 | 2–3 h | Up to 12 | Hotel pickup, thermal kit with wool socks, hot berry juice | Two adults share and swap; single sled not included |
| Tokka Safaris | ~$150 | 2–3 h | Up to 12 | Sled, gear, petrol, hot drink, bun in a café | Shared sled; solo riders upgrade |
| Arctic Circle, northern lights | ~$177 | 3 h, evening | Up to 32 | Transport from set points, winter clothes, warm juice, travel insurance | Two per sled |
| Safartica, ice fishing | ~$233 | 5 h | Up to 50 | Fishing on the ice, soup lunch on an open fire, hot drinks, winter clothing | Two per sled; single sled €90 |
| Arctic Circle, 1 hour | ~$110 | 1 h | Up to 30 | Instructor, overall, boots, socks, gloves, helmet, balaclava | Pairs swap places; single sled as a supplement |
| Safartica evening (extra) | ~$166 | 3 h, evening | Up to 50 | Campfire with grilled sausage and pastry, hot drinks | Two per sled |
Every adult price assumes a shared snowmobile. Two people ride one sled, and on most of these trips the pair can trade the driving at stops.
One hour for the lowest price
The cheapest seat is the one-hour Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park ride at ~$110. You ride in pairs through the forest with an instructor, swapping places for photos, at a speed set to the group.
The price is low because the ride is short. Once you have pulled on the overall and sat through the briefing, the hour on the sled passes fast, and the listing mentions no stop with a hot drink.
It still scores 4.8 from 240+ reviews on GetYourGuide. For a first try with children or a nervous partner, the short format makes sense, and the family guide covers who can ride in the sleigh behind the guide.
Two to three hours in daylight
The middle of the range is where most visitors book. Wild Nordic's forest safari at ~$140 and Tokka's loop round Levi Fell at ~$150 both last 2–3 hours and cap the group at 12.
Wild Nordic adds hotel pickup and drop-off, wool socks in the kit and hot berry juice poured by the guide at a photo stop. It holds 4.8 from 200+ reviews on GetYourGuide and 5.0 from 80+ on Viator, which is why it is our pick.
Tokka covers about 30–35 km (19–22 miles) round the fell and stops at a Lappish café for a hot drink and a bun. Viator shows 4.9 from 140+ reviews, while GetYourGuide has only 14 reviews for it so far.
Two hours in the forest, pickup included
Wild Nordic pairs a group of 12 at most with a hotel transfer and a hot berry juice stop, the steadiest value for a first day ride in Levi.
Evening rides and the aurora premium
The Arctic Circle northern lights safari lists at ~$177, often shown lower, for three hours in the evening. The price covers transport from set points in Levi and winter clothes. Warm juice and travel insurance are thrown in.
What you are not buying is a sighting, since the aurora is never guaranteed. Clouds are no reason for a refund, as the ride runs in any weather, and the group can reach 32.
Safartica's evening safari with a campfire at ~$166 costs a little less and adds grilled sausage and pastry by the fire. The aurora is not promised there either, and with no Viator listing you can book it on GetYourGuide only.
Both evening rides spend much of their time in the dark. Our northern lights guide explains what decides whether the sky plays along.

Five hours with lunch on the ice
The dearest tour is Safartica's ice-fishing day at ~$233. For five hours you ride over frozen water to a fishing spot where the guide drills a hole, and a Lappish soup simmers on an open fire for lunch.
Per hour it works out cheaper than either evening ride, and it is the only tour here with a proper meal. Fish are not promised, and children under 12 cannot join.
It scores 4.9 from 210+ reviews on GetYourGuide. Our ice-fishing guide walks through the day from the office to the hole in the ice.
Tickets for children
Children do not drive on any of these tours. Where they are accepted, they ride in a sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile, and the child ticket pays for that place.
Child prices differ per listing and per age band, so check the listing for your dates before you set a budget. Older children above a set height (140 cm at Wild Nordic, 150 cm on the Arctic Circle hour) may sit as passengers at the adult price.
Extras that add up
The listed price is rarely the whole bill. Four extras turn up in the small print, and two of them can matter more than the gap between tours.
- A single sled, €90 per person on Safartica's ice-fishing day; Arctic Circle sells one on the one-hour ride with no figure given; Tokka and Wild Nordic do not include single riding
- Damage insurance, €15 at Arctic Circle or €20 at Safartica, bought before the start
- Tokka's €35 damage waiver per person
- Tips, which Wild Nordic lists among the things not included
Insurance deserves a thought before the ride, because the driver is liable for damage to the snowmobile. Without the add-on, the self-liability runs to €950 or more, and our damage liability guide lists each operator's figure.
Solo travelers feel the single-sled rule most. On Wild Nordic an odd-numbered party may end up sharing a sled with someone else, which costs nothing but is not for everyone.
Paying and picking a length
GetYourGuide offers reserve now, pay later, so you can hold a place before the trip and pay closer to the day. Read the cancellation terms on the listing, since the Arctic Circle evening ride does not cancel for weather.
If you are torn between lengths, the tour length guide sets the one-hour taster and the day rides side by side with the lake day. For a first visit, a 2–3 hour day ride gives a proper outing without a long cold evening.
